Fasting is an eating strategy to be healthier, lose weight and live longer.
In my Daily routine Post, i explained how i workout my meal plan, and by 4.30 pm I’m not eating anything after, apart from water and green tea ( Genmaicha …. I’m obsessed with it !) until the next day at 8.30 am.
When it’s “workout day”, run plus exercise, i usually skip breakfast. Also, its proven that you burn more calories, i know some people like to have something before a workout so do what is best for you ! or some people like to skip dinner instead.
I know it’s sound crazy, especially for a fatty like me, who loves eating constantly !!!
Like you, i was thinking that fasting for 16 hours was unbearable ! but listen … YOU CAN DO IT !
Basically you can concentrate your 3 meals in 8h, so for me it will be from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
Also, my partner, since i met him, never eat after 4.30 pm, i was a bit sceptical at first but now it does make sense !
If you really want to have dinner at 7pm then do it from 11 am to 7pm, again do what is more comfortable for you.
You can eat everything you want, no calorie counting within the 8h. I do understand that for a social point of view is different, you can’t ask your mates to have dinner at 4.30 its sound silly !!! you can skip the diet for once, we are only human !
Also, this can reduce your alcohol intake, which is great ! Whoop whoop Dry January.
But the downside of it, people may overeat during this 8h period, with squeezing meal and snack together.
So here few benefits:
- Long term benefits
- People eat less
- Good practical way to achieve a chronic energy / calorie Restriction
- Benefit metabolic effects on reducing body fat and weight loss
- live longer
